Break the Code!
Codebreaker is a free Open Source game that runs in your web browser

Codebreaker is a small logic game. Your aim is to find the right code (3 digits). The panel only tells you how many digits are right, not which ones. The game runs in your webbrowser so you don·t need to install it. It is also Open Source which means that it is free to play.

You can play it here ( or here (

You can download Codebreaker here. Just download the or the Codebreaker_1_0_en.tar.gz file you'll find in the "Release" folder and extract it (e.g. with a program like 7zip) and then to click on the file "Codebreaker_Start.xhtml". Have fun!

If you have any problem with the game, just contact me.

This is a small game I always wanted to develop. It is just a small project, it could have been programmed much better and many things could be improved. So feel free to do so (and send me a mail if you did!).

The game is a Java Applet and is written completely in Java (actually, it is only one class). The code is (more or less) commented but if you have any questions just ask me.

You find all the files here (in the folder "source code and resources").

The game is (except for the music) licensed under the Apache License 2.0 (see below). The music is from (there also exists an English version of this page). I only lowered the quality of the music to decrease the file size. You can find the license for the music on his page in German and English. The graphics are also licensed under Creative Commons (Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License) in case you want to use them without the game.
